BURNING IN VILLAGE

Ordinance 97-04-01

Landscape waste only; grass, shrubbery, leaves, tree limbs only

Wednesday and Thursday each week. First & third Saturday of each month.  7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. or dusk whichever is first

 No person shall burn trash, rubbish, papers, garbage, general household waste, commercial waste, construction or demolition debris

   Burning of landscape waste is not permitted when wind air speed is 20 or more miles per hour

   Burning in containers i.e. burn barrels is prohibited

   Violators shall be punished by written warning and subsequent fines not less than $250 nor more than $500

   Regardless of any statement to the contrary, burning of landscape waste is prohibited on the following holidays of each year:

New Years Day, July 4th, Veterans Day, Halloween (October 31), Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
